Cala Gonone is a coastal town that is part of the municipality of Dorgali (Nuoro Province, on the island of Sardinia). It lies 20 meters above sea level and had 1,279 inhabitants in 2007. The town is located 9 kilometers from the municipal seat. Coming from Dorgali and passing through the tunnel on the SS 125 road that crosses Monte Bardia, Cala Gonone appears against the deep blue sea, set on a hillside that descends toward the coast of the Gulf of Orosei.
