Departure: 17:00
Miami Beach is everything you've heard about, but you have to see it for yourself. Take an Art Deco tour of Miami Beach to fully appreciate the area's signature architecture. The South Beach Art Deco District is a whimsical collection of more than 800 architecturally protected buildings in Miami Beach from the 1930s and 1940s – a definite must-see. Stay in one of its boutique or throwback hotels – you'll also find some of Miami Beach's finest dining, nightlife and spas here. North Beach's Ocean Terrace is fast becoming a smaller version of South Beach, with inviting oceanfront hotels and cafés. Regardless, be sure to go for a beachside stroll or to Haulover Park for fishing, bike rides, tennis or golf. And, of course, Miami Beach’s nightlife always concludes an unforgettable vacation day.

Montego Bay is a popular holiday spot known for its duty‑free shopping, cruise ship terminal and several well‑kept beaches. The city lies in a natural basin, drained by a number of rivers including the Montego River and the Barnett River. There’s loads to see and do both in and around Montego Bay, and it’s unlikely you’ll come away disappointed.

Stroll along an enchanting maze of cobbled lanes and admire the Spanish colonial buildings including the Palace of the Inquisition, the Clock-Tower and the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas. Eating out is another form of entertainment in Cartagena, with countless choices of new and exotic flavours in its local and international restaurants. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Parks and statues – the most notable is the one you see as you enter Colón on Central Avenue. • Christ Church by the Sea. • Colón 2000, Paseo Gorgas. • Columbus Cathedral – a beautiful Catholic church that’s worth a photo, but it’s best not to leave the taxi and walk around the area. • Gatún Locks, Panama Canal.
puerto limon, costa rica

Day 7
puerto limon, costa rica
Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 18:00
Limón is a city in Costa Rica, the head of the canton and the province of the same name. It is located at a distance of 152 kilometres east of San José, the capital of the Republic, on the coast of the Caribbean Sea. Its port is the largest and most important for commercial uses in this Central American country. The city of Limón has several Victorian buildings that were adapted to the humid and warm climate of the region, giving rise to the Victorian-Caribbean architectural style. This style is characterised by high ceilings with wooden ornaments such as lace, generous corridors, turrets, railings and cross ventilation systems to alleviate the sensation of heat and humidity characteristic of the area.
roatan, honduras
5
Day 9
roatan, honduras
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 18:00
Roatán, located between the islands of Útila and Guanaja, is the largest of Honduras’ Bay Islands. The island was formerly known as Ruatan and Rattan. It is approximately 77 kilometres long, and less than 8 kilometres across at its widest point. The island consists of two municipalities: José Santos Guardiola in the east and Roatán, including the Cayos Cochinos further south in the west. The most populous town on the island is Coxen Hole, capital of Roatán municipality, located in the southwest. The easternmost quarter of the island is separated by a channel through the mangroves; this section is called Helene, or Santa Elena in Spanish. Satellite islands at the eastern end are Morat, Barbareta, and Pigeon Cay. Further west, between French Harbour and Coxen Hole, are several cays, including Stamp Cay and Barefoot Cay. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Cameo Factory in Coxen Hole • Carambola Gardens • Caves of Helene • Dolphin show at Anthony’s Key Resort • East End – if you’re up for an adventure, visit the east end of the island. This end of the island is home to many locals and some expats, as well as a few resorts. One that deserves a mention is Camp Bay Beach, Beach Adventure Lodge, which is the only resort on Camp Bay Beach. Here you can also try the Tasty Tarpon restaurant, and it’s a place that offers free access to the beach for everything from snorkelling and diving to fly fishing. There are a few other interesting stops along the way, such as Marble Hill Farms, where wonderful local jams and jellies are made. Asylum Bar & Grill sits on a palapa literally over the calm waters in Camp Bay, which can sometimes feel like the restaurant at the end of the universe after the long journey getting there. Santa Helena, located in Roatán’s municipality of Santos Guardiola, is a small secluded island 12 miles further east of Roatán. This off‑the‑beaten‑track tropical paradise is a one‑mile‑by‑two‑mile island that is sparsely populated with indigenous people who still live life as it was in the Old Caribbean, unspoiled and uncommercialised by tourist development. St Helene is the epitome of a sleepy little fishing village. Access to Helene is by private boat or passenger ferry service from Oak Ridge. • Garifuna Village Tour in Punta Gorda • Iguana Farm, near French Harbour • Mangrove Forest kayak tour at Camp Bay Beach Adventure Lodge • Marine Science Museum at Anthony’s Key Resort • Oak Ridge – a small village on the eastern end of the island. On arrival, you’ll be offered water‑taxi tours to the Hole‑in‑the‑Wall restaurant, neighbouring communities, and around the harbour, but it’s also pleasant to walk through the village, which has many brightly coloured wooden houses on stilts along the shore. • Pigeon Cayes – two small deserted islands • Punta Gorda – renting a scooter and driving to Punta Gorda takes about one hour each way, and brings you through some beautiful countryside. It can be nice to get away from the touristy areas and back into places that look and feel like Honduras. The town of Punta Gorda is friendly and you may come across a beach party if you’re lucky. • Roatán Butterfly Garden • White’s Beach • Marine Park – the marine park is a protected area of reef stretching from West Bay to Sandy Bay, and snorkelling and diving are great ways to see the marine life. Go out in a kayak, a boat, or just swim out from the shore.

Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 15:00
Belize is a country on the eastern coast of Central America. This country has a lot to offer, from the lush jungles with exotic plants and animals inland to the white-sand beaches of its islands. Relaxation, outdoor adventure, diving, culture – you can fit it all into a week. Belize is renowned for its Mayan heritage, with some of the best-excavated Mayan temples and cities in Central America. Actun Tunichil Muknal is a Mayan sacrificial burial site near Belmopan, the country’s capital. The site lies entirely within a cave system. Once a sacred place for the Maya, it contains many examples of pottery, ceramics and stoneware, as well as several sets of human sacrificial remains. Near Belmopan you’ll also find Guanacaste National Park, a tropical forest with a vast array of wild flora and fauna, especially the many tropical birds that live where Roaring Creek flows into the larger Belize River. Belize is an excellent destination if you want to escape hectic city life and lose yourself in unspoilt nature. In Belize, time moves more slowly – just soak up its forests and beaches and enjoy the simple life.

Day 15
willemstad, curacao
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 18:00
Curaçao is an island in the Caribbean, among the group known as the ABC Islands alongside Aruba and Bonaire. One of the most notable things about the island is its culture. Curaçao has a lovely mix of Caribbean, European, and Latino culture. The streets and buildings have a European appearance, but the people, the food, the music and the colourful street markets have a distinctly Caribbean feel. Willemstad is the capital of Curaçao. Willemstad has a stunning old town. Many of the buildings were built in the colonial Dutch style in the early 18th century. The facades of these buildings are a kaleidoscope of colours ranging from pastel shades to vibrant blues, greens, reds, purples, jades, and buffs in a wide variety of shades. Friendly locals, fantastic climate, white sand, crystal clear water, some of the world’s best scuba diving spots, European-style architecture, a unique international floating market, the world’s longest floating bridge and the many opportunities for excursions and entertainment really make Curacao a place that should be on your Caribbean wish list.

Day 16
oranjestad, aruba
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 18:00
Aruba is an island in the Caribbean, 15 miles north of the coast of Venezuela, and is one of the four countries that together form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This flat island with no rivers is renowned for its white sand beaches and tropical climate moderated by constant trade winds from the Atlantic Ocean. Like any Caribbean destination, its beaches do not disappoint, they are wonderfully pretty with silver sand, warm shallow turquoise waters and an abundance of interesting birds and fauna. Oranjestad is the bustling capital of Aruba. Oranjestad has become a destination within the destination Aruba, and is one of the Caribbean's most photogenic cities. The city is also quite lively at night, so much so that the city has been voted, on several occasions, as the Caribbean's best small town nightlife city.
ocho rios, jamaica

Day 18
ocho rios, jamaica
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 18:00
Ocho Ríos is a town in the parish of Saint Ann on the north coast of Jamaica. Ocho Ríos is a major port of call for cruise ships. It’s quieter than Montego Bay, though not as laid-back as Negril, and most of the tourist attractions are in the surrounding countryside. Lush gardens, gentle rivers, waterfalls and caves are just some of the natural wonders in the area, and historic plantations are tucked into the foothills.
george town, grand cayman
11
Day 19
george town, grand cayman
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 16:00
The Cayman Islands are a group of islands in the Caribbean Sea, about ninety miles south of Cuba. Their beautiful coral reefs and exceptionally clear waters have made them a favourite destination for divers. Superb beaches along with excellent restaurants and resorts also make them an outstanding spot for holidaymakers. Grand Cayman is the largest island and is home to most of the population and tourist facilities. George Town, a small but affluent port city, is the capital of the Cayman Islands. Located on Grand Cayman, it’s where you’ll find all the main shopping, including the ever-popular rum cake, a wide range of jewellery, and endless duty-free options right by the docks. Most of the main restaurants and bars are in George Town, and many of the island tours start out from here. The buildings are painted in attractive pastel colours, and the city is very well maintained and pleasant to wander around. Grand Cayman is best known for Seven Mile Beach, a stunning stretch of powdery white sand and turquoise sea. Located on the west coast, north of George Town, Seven Mile Beach is often ranked among the finest beaches in the world. If you’re fond of sunshine and the sea, this could be the ideal place for you.
